Production Operator

Programmed Skilled Workforce are currently seeking reliable and experienced Production Operators to join our new client site that is in the process of opening in Dandenong South!

Positions are to commence mid-August on the day shift Monday-Friday. Our client is a cheese manufacturing site looking for casual employees wanting that are wanting to gain employment within a new site with new opportunities.

The Role:

• Production machine and room cleaning (washing, wiping dust, sweeping)
• Raw material preparation involving De-cartoning various raw ingredients (need to be able to lift up to 20kgs in weight).
• Line feeding – continuously feed blocks into hopper/loading station
• Product packing and labelling (use of taping machine and /or taping gun)
• Involves lifting and manual handling of finished boxes from line & stacking onto pallets
• Will involve use of some chemicals for cleaning (training by PD provided. Successful completion and pass of training required)
• Quality and presentation checks
• Palletising and staging
• Line support and housekeeping
• Record keeping and traceability

About you:

• Previous experience working in the dairy/food/pharmaceutical industry required
• Experience working with high-speed processing and packaging equipment
• Effective communication skills
• Can demonstrate understanding of GMP and HACCP principles.
• Can demonstrate safe work practices
• Able to lift up to 20kgs
• Must be available day shift Monday-Friday every week
